Central Coast Art Associations
Multi Arts Confederation Inc Central Coast |
Their website is not the easiest to navigate, but the information about all forms of creativity on the Central Coast is first rate. The monthly magazine they publish is brilliant and contains information about What's On, Exhibitions, Competitions to Enter, Classes, Workshops, local Arts&Crafts Societies and much more. Advertising rates in the magazine are very reasonable.

Central Coast Art Society |
The organisational ability of this Society at the Gosford Regional Show was impressive. They knew what they were doing, had all the paperwork in order, and did it well. Their website showcases the talents of local artists through their Members sub-page, where 5 or 6 artworks per member can be viewed. The society also runs in-house workshops at the Gosford Regional Gallery and regular Paint-Out days at local scenic spots.

Hospital Art |
This merry band of volunteers uses their creative talents to cheer those who are ill and suffering. Canvases are prepared for use in occupational therapy, and then returned to be polished up and completed. Once finished they are then sent to adorn the walls of hospitals and nursing homes. The content of the acrylic on canvas pictures includes flowers, birds, animals, and other attractive things, all brightly and cheerfully coloured.

Galleries
Gosford Regional Gallery |
Is the home of all things art related on the Central Coast. There are regular major and minor exhibitions on show. It is where the Central Coast Art Society conducts its workshops and keeps its library, and where many art classes are held. Together with the Japanese gardens, shop, cafe and nearby children's playground, it makes a great place to visit for an outing or day trip.
